Safe route to schools
« on: March 26, 2014, 02:16:51 PM »
For three years I've asked Highways that the pedestrian zone of Putton Lane between Green Lane and Bennetts be cleared of mud, and the vegetation be cleared back. And the same was asked for the Chickerell Road pavement from Glennie Way to Putton Lane at Charlestown Post Office.

Miles Butler has now left as Director of the Environment Directorate at Dorset County Council. Within 24 hours of an email, the interim Director has resolved what Butler refused to address for 3 years. Let's hope that Mr Harries gets the position of Director.

Wow what a difference!

Now all we need is the path from Willowbed to Lower Putton lane. Although I'm not holding out much hope.
We will see.
