Firstly what a huge difference Putton Lane is now as you walk from Pugmill towards Brown Cresent direction. You really do forget what is behind all the trees and shrubs. It is certainly going to be a huge development there.

Has anyone else noticed the huge bonfires they have been lighting there. My windows were open last night and the whole house stank of smoke as did outside this morning. I can only assume it is coming from those smoldering bonfires.

Anyone else notice anything?

After 3 days of burning, this fire was loaded again on Thursday afternoon - and failed to burn. I guess that could be due to the amount of ash at the bottom, or dirt being dropped onto the fire.

As it had just smouldered all night (hence the smeech in the air Friday morning) - C. J. Lee raked the fire out on Friday morning to help it burn and help it go out for the weekend.
